Trump Officially Allows Crypto to Enter 401k Retirement Program 401(k)

United States President Donald Trump officially signed an executive order allowing crypto to enter the 401(k) retirement program in the US, Thursday (07/08) local time.
With this new regulation, the crypto industry has the potential to access a pension fund market valued at approximately US$12.5 trillion, opening up significant opportunities for wider adoption among American workers.
Through this executive order, the Department of Labor is tasked with reviewing the rules that have so far restricted alternative assets such as crypto from entering portfolios regulated by ERISA. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has also been mandated to facilitate access to these assets for program participants.
This step aligns with Trump's broader efforts to promote the crypto industry, which has previously been seen in his policies to establish a National Bitcoin Reserve, appoint special officials to handle crypto and artificial intelligence (AI), and create the first federal regulations for stablecoins.
