When it comes to trading, you really don't need to care about how much capital you have. Once you truly understand the principles and can achieve consistent profits, the amount of funds isn't really a problem. Even if you only have 10,000 in capital, it's possible to earn a hundred over a few years. However, if you haven't gained that understanding yet, even having 1,000,000 can be swallowed up in a short period of time. Have you ever had the experience of closing a position only to watch the market surge afterwards, feeling frustrated and slapping your thigh? Don’t blame yourself; it’s not just your problem. Most traders in the market feel distressed about closing profitable positions too early. To address this issue, we first need to identify the fundamental reasons behind our decision to close positions. When your account shows floating profits, your brain is undergoing a struggle. Rationality tells you that the profit is still there and you should hold on, while instinct screams to run and not let the profits slip away. This creates the illusion that if you don’t secure your profits, you will lose them. In the end, instinct often triumphs over rationality. Why is that? Psychology tells us that we have different feelings about certain gains and certain losses. Compared to the pursuit of maximizing profits, we usually care more about minimizing risks.
