Wellington, New Zealand: Encryption losses trigger a mother killing case, with an investment of 156,000 yuan as the catalyst.

[BitPush] The Wellington High Court in New Zealand is hearing a case involving a mother-son murder related to Crypto Assets investment. The 53-year-old defendant, Julia DeLuney, is accused of murdering her 79-year-old mother, Helen Gregory, on January 24, 2024, and staging a fall scene. The prosecution alleges that in the year leading up to the incident, she transferred at least NZD 156,000 (approximately USD 94,000) from her mother’s account to a Crypto Assets platform, of which only NZD 88,000 was recovered, resulting in a loss of NZD 68,000. The case is still ongoing.

Did you kill your mother just because you lost money? Your psychological resilience seems a bit weak...
