Memeland and $MEME Token: Exploring Community Economy in a New Era

Memeland originated from the creative concept of the 9GAG team, aiming to build a brand and community ecosystem centered around NFTs. The project integrates social media, creator economy, and Web3 technology, hoping to provide users with a new experience of community participation and value sharing.

Project Background

The creative inspiration for Memeland comes from a barren land where precious gold is said to be buried. As time passed, early forms of life emerged on this land, such as wandering potato creatures. Meanwhile, captains and pirates began to explore this shattered sea in search of lost treasures.

Core Team

Memeland was created by the founding team of the famous social media platform 9GAG. Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Hong Kong, 9GAG is a popular user-generated content website. The platform has over 200 million followers across major social media and reaches up to 400 million monthly visits.

Founder Ray Chan has 15 years of experience in the social media and community products field. He believes that Web3 technology can change the business model of traditional social platforms, providing better incentive mechanisms for users, advertisers, platforms, and creators.

Main Products

Memeland currently launched three NFT products:

1. You The Real MVP: 420 Premium Membership NFTs, which come with multiple community privileges.

2. The Potatoz: 9999 basic member NFTs, which can participate in staking, airdrops, and other activities.

3. The Captainz: 9999 PFP NFTs, representing the top members of Memeland, have the most privileges.
