French cryptocurrency trading influencer kidnapped! TikTok KOL forced into a position to extort crypto assets.
In Essonne, France, a TikTok financial influencer with over 40,000 followers was recently kidnapped by four individuals while on the way home. The incident shocked the local community, and the kidnappers not only used violence but also attempted to extort as much as 50,000 euros in Crypto Assets. The police have intervened, and the case is being handled by the organized crime investigation department.
The kidnapping occurred on the way home: four people forcibly took the victim into the car.
According to a report from Europe 1, the incident occurred between Friday night and Saturday morning, in the southeastern suburbs of Paris in Juvisy-sur-Orge. The 26-year-old victim was a coin influencer with about 40,000 followers on TikTok, who was preparing to return home when she was forcibly pushed into a stolen Renault Clio sedan by four strangers.
Crypto Assets become ransom targets: Kidnappers demand fifty thousand euros.
According to preliminary police investigations, the victim was not only beaten, but the kidnappers also demanded that he hand over 50,000 euros in Crypto Assets. The four forced him to log into his Crypto Assets account to check the balance, only to find that the account funds were far from sufficient. They eventually gave up on the extortion and released the victim.
Medical treatment after release: The victim is granted a six-day medical leave.
Although the ransom was ultimately unsuccessful, the kidnapping incident still caused physical and psychological trauma to the victim. He has currently obtained a six-day "total work suspension" (ITT) certificate for rest and treatment. This case has been taken over by the French police's "Organized and Professional Crime Investigation Department" for investigation. Due to the involvement of violence, kidnapping, and Crypto Assets ransom, the authorities regard it as a serious crime and are currently conducting a comprehensive investigation into the identity and motives of the kidnappers.
